NHL Playoffs 2025: Stanley Cup time plan, bracket, scores, as Maple Leaf, stars win

The second round of the NHL playoffs from 2025 rolled together with a few game 2 on Thursday evening. In the first case, the Washington Capitals achieved a 3-1 win against their series with the Carolina Hurricanes, and then the Edmonton Oilers won an overtime thriller in Vegas.

After the capitals in the territorial battle were dominated in game 1, they turned the script and brought the Hurricanes for a large part of game 2. As you could expect, Tom Wilson was right in the middle of everything. He brought his characteristic physicality, but Wilson also recorded support for the gaming goal and sealed the victory with a balance with an empty network.

The Capitals goalkeeper Logan Thompson was also great with 27 parades at 28 shots. He was not exposed to too many hard tests, but he always answered the bell when he did.

The Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights bonus hockey played in the west after Jack Eichel Vegas had helped with the Rabatur from a two-goal deficit to enforce the extension. Eichel was dominant when he drove the game and recorded assists on each of the first three goals from Vegas.

Unfortunately, for Eichel and the Golden Knights, it was not a role in how Connor McDavid made the night of the night to play to win the game and send the Oilers to Edmonton with a 2-0 lead.

Fans long for more playoff hockey don't have to wait long. On Friday evening, game 3 will contain between the Florida Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs and Game 2 between the Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets. The Leafs want to bring the lead 3-0 in their series, and the jets will try to pull even 1-1 with the stars.
