Start Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones confirmed; Folded metal hinges with a new key leaked through

Sony is set so that he can start his next few flagship headphones of the WH-1000XM6 next week. With a few days before the announcement, LECKS about the upcoming couple did not fathom – in contrast to the cell phones, but a considerable leak shows the new headphones in his entire fame.

Only a few days after Amazon Spain accidentally fired a product page for the Sony WH-1000XM6, another leak shows the headphones in detail, which reveals a subtle redesign and focuses on improving the comfort. In its leak, the Walkman blog also shows three color options for the XM6S, including a white, black and “midnight” blue variants.

As expressly visible from the pictures, the WH-1000XM6S brings an important visible differentiator over the XM5 of the previous generation, ie the hinge. With this iteration, Sony has opted for a more nuanced hinge design and also enabled a folding mechanism. We hope that, as we hope, this is too easy for the user's perspective with a widespread report on the fragile hinge in XM5S. The new mechanism includes a three -part design with the middle element made of metal, which is probably more stable. We have to test the headphones whether the new hinge also improves comfort in terms of carrying.

The new design also brings a round network button together with volume controls up and down, which may now be moved to both sides of this new key – although dedicated volume controls are not visible, which indicates that they could be capacitive.

In addition, the network that covers the openings for microphones shows better water resistance, although we do not expect proper water resistance for the XM6S. The 3.5 mm headphone bush is still available, which means that Sony may skip USB-C playback for another generation, although we are not yet so safe. The pillows, as before, should be easy to remove, even though we do not see this in the latest images.
