The Japanese Hotel asks Israeli guests not to sign the Gaza Strip crimes

Kishi Ace, a hotel manager in Kyoto, Japan, explained that Israeli guests are asked to sign a promise in which they have not committed war crimes, as part of the hotel's keeping against the passive in view of the continuing crisis that affect the children in the Gaza.

Kishi describes Israel's attacks on Gaza as “completely unacceptable” and told the Anadolu Agency (aa) that such measures represent a clear violation of international law.

After Kishi worked as a teacher for many years and trained many students, he said: “Whenever I see the pictures and videos of the children who were killed every day in Gaza, I can't help but think about my own students. I couldn't just stay passive. So I thought I could do what I can do within the law.”

He said that foreign tourists have a promise signed that confirmed that they have not committed war crimes, even though they cannot legally refuse service for guests.

Kishi explained that the typical reservation process begins with a pre-reservation, followed by a personal check-in in which the nationality and passport of the guest are checked. The guest's land is then checked against war crimes against international criminal courts (ICC). Finally, the guest is asked to sign a form that confirms that in the past 10 years he was not involved in military or paramilitary forces from this country and has not committed war crimes.

“But Japanese law does not allow us to refuse guests in any way,” said Kishi. “So you can stay whether you sign it or not. It doesn't matter.”

He said the measure was available in the past six months and all hotel guests had signed the explanatory form.

He also described the promise as “security” and “peace of mind”.

“This is our responsibility to guarantee the security of other guests and to ensure a comfortable stay,” he added.

He also noticed: “Some countries ignore international laws and violate them. That should not be overlooked. Of course, it does not happen directly in Japan, but international law is something that everyone has to follow.”

“In Russia, Ukraine and Gaza, so many war crimes were identified as wrong,” he added. “People from these areas come here, forget everything they have done and enjoy a vacation in Japan.”

Kishi said that the Israeli embassy in Tokyo criticized its attitude as discriminatory after a signed explanation was published.

The hotel manager emphasized that their actions were not discriminatory, but a reaction to the violations of Israel against international law, especially in Gaza Strip. He added that discrimination applies to unchangeable characteristics such as breed or gender, while the hotel's directive was based on the behavior of Israel.

He criticized the Japanese government because he had not strongly convicted Israel's actions in Gaza after October 2023, which suggested that Japan prioritized the orientation with the USA before taking a fixed attitude.

Kishi expressed the support for the arrest warrant of the ICC for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and declared that when he visited Japan, he should be arrested to maintain Japan's international credibility.

The Israeli army has launched a brutal military rush in the Gaza Strip and has killed almost 52,800 Palestinians, mainly women and children, since October 7, 2023.

Last November, the ICC issued arrest for Netanyahu and its former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also looks like an genocide proceedings at the International Court of Justice against the enclave because of his war.
