Captain Alexander Kenneth Chickosky, 82Beloved husband of 53 years Maurine Chickosky, died peacefully and took his last flight on April 23, 2025. He lived to work because his job as a pilot for Delta Air Lines made it possible for him to fulfill the passion of his true life. He was never happier than at 30,000 feet. He honored his country in the Air National Guard. He was also a third generation farmer, an experienced tobacco man who owned and operated one of the largest shadow tobacco farms in the Connecticut River Valley, Enfield Shade Tobacco.

William Delaney, 83Husband of the late Susan (Browne) Delaney, died on April 26, 2025 with his loving family at his side of complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Bill was a three-sports athlete and proud graduate of the Enfield High School, class from 1961. He joined the US Army and was deployed in Vietnam in 1962. From 1962 to 1964, Bill was an “consultant” for the army in the early years of the Vietnam War and deserved an honorable discharge. When he arrived in the States, Bill began his career in the aerospace industry as a partial inspector at Advanced Manufacturing in Westfield, Massachusetts, retired after 30 years.

Robert Duga, 87Committed husband of 65 years of Darlene (Smith) Duga, entered the eternal break on May 6, 2025. A proud graduate of the Lowell Technical Institute, where he ended his degree in mechanical engineering, was standard among industry giants such as Emhart, Gerber Scientific and Hamilton. Robert was the owner of many patents and had the award to invent the injection form for plastic bottles and to be part of the team that designed the space suits for the first moon walk. He and Darlene owned and operated Mindeke silencers in Chicopee, where they worked next to each other until they retired.

Erwin “Herm” Jackle, 84Beloved husband of 52 years of Peggy (Kyle) Jackle, died peacefully with his family on May 6, 2025. He retired from the former Brand Rex Corporation, where he brought care and intelligence to work. Herm was a lifelong learner with insatiable curiosity and a deep appreciation for the world around him. He found joy in the simple joys of life – to read a good book, take a long walk or run and to watch his favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and Celtics.
