North Carolina State Trooper shot, killed the man after Chase started on the I-85

Durham, NC (WBTV) – A soldier of the state of North Carolina shot and killed a man after completing a chase this week on the I -85. Motorway police said.

Officials said the chase was held on Thursday morning after the soldier had run over a man, 53-year-old Philip Aiken Brown I-85 South Near the Falls Lake Bridge near the Durham Granville County Line.

The Highway Patrol said Brown had not been run over because of no license, but during the traffic disability he allegedly gave the fake information, and as his true identity, the soldier found that Brown had several orders for his arrest.

Before Brown could be taken into custody, Highway Patrol said that Brown drove away and continued with the I-85 South until he rose at the exit of the Red Mill Road.

When Brown lost control on the Red Mill Road and fell against an embankment.

The Highway Patrol said that after the crash, Brown “could not comply with the commands of the law enforcement authorities” and “ultimately produced his hands, which show a dark object”. At that time a soldier shot him.

Immediately life -saving measures were taken until paramedics arrived, but he died at some point after being removed from the scene.

The soldier, which was identified as Nolan Neal, was not injured.

Neal has been with North Carolina State Highway Patrol for four and a half years and is stationed in Durham County. He was put into administrative obligation in up to an internal investigation.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) also checked the case.
