Predictions of Roker Report: Coventry City against SAFC

'The Champion' Martin Wanless forecast …

Score forecast: Coventry City 1 Sunderland 1

Sunderland's first scorer: Luke O'nien

The followers of Coventry seem to be excessive until the final progresses what it could initially make a difficult atmosphere, but one that could turn if things do not immediately play out the way they expect.

After our game down there in the season we will keep it tight, wake up pressure and meet them during the break, with this game ending.

'Champion-Elect' Malc Dugdale forecast …

Score Prediction: Coventry City 0 Sunderland 0

Sunderland's first scorer: n/a.

A few weeks ago I was at the end of the CBS with a few great boys who happened to be part of the part of the person, and we all suffered the 3-0 loss with many others, so my view is: don't let us go there again.

We spent a season with the low block in the Light stadium and tried to break teams, but it is our time to do this to do this to do that you are so convinced that you have preceded a palette of half and half scarves in front of the Wembloy path by Jimmy Hill Mask.

I don't care if we take a box with boards and cover the goal with them and change them at halftime. Do not lose; Take these complacent stitches back to the Light stadium and let us have it.

Let us see nemesis dough -hybris at home next week. Today is only one step on our trip.

Jack Howe-Ingingell predicts …

Score Prediction: Coventry City 0 Sunderland 2

Sunderland's first scorer: Wilson Isidor

The playoffs stand in front of us and their threatening atmosphere is raining.

I think it is always the ghosts of the past that create strong feelings of fear and worry – and we had a few beautiful ones. Combine this with one of our carton teams of recent times and it is easy to slip into a state of pessimism.

However, we were asked to trust the process, and I have to do that. After a dark run lately we have been taking the bonds and show what we can do.

This team is full of talent and for the first time in ages we basically all have full fitness again. Everyone may not have been best, but we know what these boys can do.

Coventry was not in great form itself and we have to take this into account. Of course you will be ready for this, but I am sure we can take it on.

In the course of the season we see exactly where we deserve it – as one of the best sides of the league. I want us to go out there, show what a great season it was and prepared for a big night in the Stadion of Light on Tuesday.

“Once again, dear friends … again”.

Will predict Jones …

Score forecast: Coventry City 1 Sunderland 1

Sunderland's first scorer: Wilson Isidor

Here we go again. Coventry away in the playoffs. The lamp that we were all feared and somehow knew was inevitable.

The Sky Blues are confident and maybe even a touch of arrogance. Her fans are already booking hotels for Wembley and convincing that Sunderland is just another springboard.

But let's not forget, we have been here before. As an outsider and written off, we thrive in these moments.

The boys have a hand to rise to the occasion if the chances are stacked against them. Do you remember Fratton Park? Do you remember Hillsborough? We didn't just survive – we made statements.

Coventry's home record against us is discouraging and they have not lost us since 1985, but the records are to be broken, and while their fans are reminiscent of the past glory, our focus is on the present.

This season Wilson Isidor was a revelation with his pace, his vision and talent for the spectacular. I can now see it: a scream of outside the plate who silence the domestic quantity and a moment of magic in order to remind everyone that Sunderland does not have to be underestimated.

It won't be easy.

Coventry will press, you will investigate and you will have your moments, but our defense, which is summarized by Luke O'nien and Chris Mepham, will be firm. We will absorb the pressure, select our moments and beat when the opportunity arises.

A draw from home sets us perfectly for the backbone in the stadium of light. Let Coventry have your moment as next Tuesday. We will show you what real passion, true faith and real football look.

Hay, the boys!

Matty Foster predicts …

Score forecast: Coventry City 1 Sunderland 1

Sunderland's first scorer: Eliezer Mayenda

The opposition that we did not want, but which we hadn't confronted.

It is what it is. With our decades of inability to win on your lawn, we can deal with our lawn, but in a game of this size, the story should be nothing more than background noise.

This is a perfect opportunity to break the “curse” and correct so many wrongly when it comes to the sky blues. There is disgusting arrogance that flock out of the blue corner. Many Coventry fans thought they had a free pass for the final, but it's time to close them, Sunderland.

A victory would be more than ideal, but truthfully I would be satisfied with a draw after Tuesday. We can accumulate more playoff -elend on Frank Lampard and Coventry.

Bomber Davies forecast …

Score Prediction: Coventry City 0 Sunderland 0

Sunderland's first scorer: n/a.

As if it were determined by fate, it is a team that we did not want in the playoffs, the team that finished fifth on the last day of the season!

We now have to endure two more games against Coventry and no longer experience after the 3-0 frame at the CBS at the beginning of the year to experience again.

Nevertheless, I said that Sunderland has been in the best form in recent years if they are against it and if the expectation is low – and it couldn't really be lower at the moment.

I think back to the away legs of the Playoffs of the League One and especially the 0-0 in Fratton Park. I predict a game like that in which some double defense and Shithousery give us a goalless draw about the light stadium.

The only difference is that we went to Hillsborough and Fratton Park, knowing that a draw is sufficient, so that an attitude “do not lose” could lead to a further difficult defeat against a floating Coventry page.

I think if we get through that with at least one tie, we will climb up!

Gary Winter predicts …

Score Prediction: Coventry City 2 Sunderland 0

Sunderland's first scorer: n/a.

It sounds very pessimistic, but I just don't have a great feeling for it. Whether it is relevant or not, our youngest head-to-head record to the league that has returned to us for a day in the last ten years without winning in the league.

It is a completely different opportunity and I hope we can find resilience and energy that is required for such a critical game, but the previous meeting on this floor still gives me nightmares.

The only hope is that Coventry has only won three of the following eight games since this game, even though I am concerned that they may be more prepared to be correct until the end, with a good result on the last day of the season on which it was important.

I am very aware that it was difficult for us to motivate us for so many meaningless devices that we had to end the season, but we have a big task in front of you to switch to the “playoff mode” from a constant start.

I hope I am very wrong in this case.

Brett Lyons-Davis predicts …

Score forecast: Coventry City 1 Sunderland 2

Sunderland's first scorer: Eliezer Mayenda

Red -white avenger … gather!

After we have successfully held all, including our own fans, that we are now an absolute shit and released any excitement from a generation -definent draw against a team that has been more afraid for us recently than in Thanos.

With a click by Régis Le Bris' fingers, the last six weeks are forgotten and we actually see a Sunderland team with passion and struggle.

The boys take a win north; The Stadium of Light will be a sale next Tuesday and these hotels will not be canceled for Wembley.

Hey big man, what's your name?

I … Mayenda

Last time…

So we lost the last one and the others before him, but who shit.

QPR scored a decent goal and caught us, but it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is the next three games.

Apart from the next three cups, the season is.

We were the fourth best team in the league in 40 games. If the playoffs did not exist in the current format, we would already prepare for the blades on Wembley.

Let us clear this semi -finals out of the way and concentrate on another successful journey to smoke.

Last game forecasts

Only bombers went for five losses in a row, but he did not get the result right to do it.

Credit to the boy that he was not carried away by us like the rest!

The end of the business is there and we have two legs to win this phase of the process.

Can we do it? We have to hope.

Last rating

The table remains as it was, but the bomber is a better point.

Brett needs at least a perfect score to climb the table. As it can often be the case, the bottom of the table is as interesting as above.

How the points are awarded

Just a brief memory of how we assign our predictions for match-by-match forecasts:

  • Correct score = three points
  • Correct result (but not correct points) = a point
  • Correction First Sunderland goal scorer = a point (no scorer is a valid call)
  • Possible deductions to be lazy and not to submit in time = a two -point deduction.
