Man who was killed by Streuner Bullet in bed with wife: police

A man was shot by a stray ball in bed early Friday morning in the early Friday morning, while he was in West Oak Cliff with his wife, the police from Dallas at the scene.

What we know:

The officials answered a shooting call shortly before 2:15 a.m. in an apartment complex in the 3100 block of the Spruce Valley Lane. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot in bed. He died at the scene, said the police.

The background story:

The investigators believe that the ball came through a window of the apartment on the second floor of the couple. The man's wife was not injured.

The police informed a FOX 4 photo journalist that the intended goal may have been an apartment on the first floor, but at least one round traveled to the second floor. Detectives do not believe that the man who was killed was the intended goal.

Dozens of rifles were fired, and the police believe that more than one person was involved.

No arrests were made.

What we don't know:

The police did not publish the victim's name or a suspicious information. The motive for the shootout remains unclear and it is not yet known how many shooters were involved.

The source: The information in this article was given to the photo journalist Terry van Sickle from Fox 4 at the scene.
