Asus Rog Ally 2 and Xbox Handheld specifications and photos lick at FCC

In this one post we will cover several separate stories, so we'll strap children, because there are a number of news here. The Phil Spencer from Microsoft, the head of the Xbox, has spoken several times about his intention to create an Xbox handheld. Rumors have recently flew that Microsoft had worked with Asus on a handheld with Xbox branding. Now it seems that these dreams have worn fruits because pictures are both the apparently Asus Rog Ally 2 and what is very likely an Xbox handheld, based on the same hardware.

The sources of this story are somehow out of focus. The pictures you see above and under the two different handhelds apparently come with the FCC and were discovered by the Indonesian Tech website 91 Mobile. However, 91 Mobile has removed the pictures from his website together with every FCC mentioned. Instead, 91 Mobile'Article points out that the mention of the “ROG Ally 2” in certification lists with the Indonesian Sdppi, which is essentially the version of the country's version. These devices had model names “RC73XA” and “RC73ya”.

The pictures were saved by Huang514613 (@94G8LA on XWitter), which determines that the RC73xa is the black -colored device, while the RC73ya is a white device. Huang lists loading values of 100 W for the RC73xa device (black) and 65W for the RC73YA handheld (white), which does not increase a higher performance profile with the Xbox button.

Rc73ya spec

However, Huang then cited himself with pictures of the labeling on the back of the devices. The RC73YA seems to be using an AMD “100-000001835”, which is a real processor that is mentioned in AMD's export classification matrix. The sticker continues to notice “4C 6-20W PC”, which is a bit strange, but it seems that this unknown AMD-CPU is a quad core with a 6-20 W-TDP. Video card Reports that this chip is “aerith plus”, a successor to the Aerith processor that is used in the original valve steam deck. This machine also seems to have 16 GB RAM and a MediaTek Filogic 330 Wi-Fi chipset.

The RC73xa is probably more interesting, and not only because it is a licensed Xbox device. This machine is delivered with an AMD 100-000001684 Video card says a Ryzen Z2 extremely. AMD announced this processor in front of the CES. It is a cut variant of Strix Point with three zen 5 cores, five Zen 5c cores and the full-greasing 16-CU-RDNA 3.5 GPU. This chip is paired with an apparently 32 GB LPDDR5X memory, which runs at 8533 Mt/s, the same as Intel Lunar Lake processors and a 2-TB NVME SSD in full M.2-2280 size.

If you think that there was already a ROG Ally 2, remember the ROG Ally X, which is more of a refinement of the original experiment than a sequel. It was based on the same Ryzen Z1 Extreme SoC and used 24 GB somewhat faster 7500 -M storage instead of the 16 GB 6400 MT/S -RAM in the original.

Other specifications are mainly in the air, as are the decisive price and publication details, although it is fair, very little of what we see here is actually officially confirmed. The name “Rog Ally 2” is a very strange choice because a system that is driven by a successor to the Aerith chip is a considerable step from the current ally. It may be one of many configurations.

On the other hand, it will be fascinating to see whether Microsoft is trying to sell the ASUS RC73XA as a “Xbox” destination. While the specifications make it much more effective than the existing ROG Ally X, it will still not match the Xbox series S in terms of graphic performance.
