Wolves players had a macabre summary by Anthony Edwards' sake to play through injuries

Minnesota Timberwolves fans held the breath when all-star striker Anthony Edwards suffered a ankle injury on Thursday evening in the second quarter of the second conference semi-final against the Golden State Warriors. The sight of Edwards, which limp from the square, was unable to leave the game to leave the game and go to the changing room, was not much optimism in the second half.

Even Timberwolves trainer Chris Finch admitted that he didn't believe that he would return Edwards.

Well, he returned. Edwards led the injury to score 13 of his 20 points in the second half and to help Minnesota to ward off an urge of the second half of Warriors to secure victory. And some of Edwards' teammates were not surprised. In fact, Wolves striker Jaden McDaniels and the guard Nicleil Alexander-Walker had descriptions of the macabre circumstances that Edwards should be confronted not play through an injury.

“You never really know,” said Alexander Walker to reporters. “Because you never know which one is really bad. Especially when you can't see them. But he always finds a way. One thing with Ant, he won't sit outside.”

“He has to be almost dead.”

McDaniels remained in the horror genre with his own comments on Edwards.

“Yes, I've seen it before,” said McDaniels. “He has to have his leg chopped or something S —- [to not play]. “

In all seriousness, Edwards' ability to return as quickly – and as good as he – are probably a good sign of his availability. He will have a whole day to rest his ankle before game 3 on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. (ET).
