Driver arrested after women and child were injured in hit-and-run outside of Largo Walmart

Largo-a woman was arrested after an accident by Hit-and-Run, in which an adult woman and a child were injured in front of a Walmart in Largo.

According to the Largo Police Department, the incident occurred on Thursday, May 8, 2025, in the parking lot of the Walmart in 2677 Roosevelt Boulevard at around 8.45 p.m. The 32-year-old Lauren Howells ruthlessly operated a Jaguar sedan through the property and beat several vehicles as well as a mother and 6-year-old daughter.

The child was brought to the entire children's hospital by John's Hopkins with very critical injuries. The woman was brought to the Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg with considerable but not life -threatening injuries.

Howells fled the scene in the vehicle, which later found parked in the Clearwater Inn in the 2960 Golf for the Bay Boulevard.
