The world video game of Hall of Fame induction was finally unveiled

The strong museum has just announced this year's participants in the World Video Game Hall of Fame, and there are some deserved participants.

From an overall list of 12 nominatedFour were selected to sit alongside other games with legendary status.

The four are:

• defender

• Goldeneye 007

• Quake

• Tamagotchi

Interestingly, two of these games are protected from the first person in both Goldeneye 007 And quake, although they are released on different platforms. Goldeneye naturally comes from the legendary James Bond series and was published for the Nintendo 64 in 1997 and becomes the third best-selling game in the course of the platform. In 2023 it received a remastered version on Xbox consoles and recently came to Nintendo Switch online.

Meanwhile, Quake had a much broader publication and was the beginning of the long -term series of the same name, which followed the other big hit of the ID software. The original game was first published in 1996 for Windows and DOS systems before he received a broader publication on MacOS and Linux machines and the Sega Saturn console the following year. It came to the N64 in 1998.

Defender also has the form of a shooter style game, but is sent in 1981 as an arcade cabinet with the kind approval of Williams. It is a devilish difficult title with complicated controls and a quick, intense gameplay that gave him a permanent heritage.

The Tamagotchi is not necessarily a “game” in the sense that it is software, but more in the sense that it was the handheld pet, the mid-nineties and early 2000s that they had to take care of. From June 2023, the device moved over 90 million copies and produced several spin-off versions and actual games.

The original list of twelve comprised many different media, mobile games such as Angry Birds and electronic toys such as Mattel Football and real-time strategy game Age of Empires.

The way the winners were selected was based on everything, from their status and durability to influence and even their geographical reach. All things you would expect that a game will be seen as a participant.
