District man Monroe County was sentenced to life imprisonment in the death of older wife

Columbia, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man was sentenced to life imprisonment on Friday after he found himself guilty of killing an 88-year-old woman in 2021.

The 68-year-old Lyle Miller from Madison, Missouri, was convicted of a jury in March of the Murder of the second degree and in December 2021 evidence of Betty Hayes, 88, sentenced manipulations. Miller was arrested in July 2023.

According to court documents of the previous reporting, a witness informed the investigators that Miller quickly drove away from Madison, at night that Hayes was missing. Her remains were finally found in a pond.

The investigators believe that Miller was angry with unpaid work he had done for her.
