Most Echo-Drive One References had modern steel sports observation. The earliest examples that are still in production have exposed screws, a prominent steel blind and a hexagonal crown.

In 2024, Citizen hired a small second version of the Echo-Drive. It retained the same steel case construction and the gently curved shape, but the exposed screws were removed and the top was smoothed, similar to a classic watch case.

This new Washi paper dial and the precious metal reference represent the completion of a transition from a new design, which crosses boundaries to the application of this innovative engineering in a really beautiful clothing clock.
