They belonged to not intervene among six officers who were charged in 2023 to stop the actions of the former office of the former sheriff of the Clear Creek sheriff, Andrew Buen, shot the glass. The shootout attracted national attention and called for the reform how the authorities react to people with mental health problems.

The prosecutors tried twice to convince the jury to condemn Buen because of the second degree murder. The first time that the jury condemned by the opening of fire for ruthless officers. In his second legal proceedings, the jurors condemned Buen from the lower indictment for criminal murder for the shootout in February. Another officer is still accused of not intervening and doing an attack in third degree. McCollum said that she could not comment on possible confessions with him or a defendant.
