Astros, the Hayden Wesneski placed on the injured list of elbow injury

The Houston Astros have received a further violation of their starting mug.

According to the Chandler Rome of The Athletic, Hayden Wesneski becomes the injured list with the right elbow complaints. This will be pushed back by May 7th. Logan Vanwey is called up as a corresponding movement.

Wesneski was part of the return transmitter for the astros in the Kyle Tucker deal.

With several starting jacks for the beginning of the year, the hope was that Wesneski will finally break through in 2025 and the former Top -Prospect settlement occurred that he had.

That was the case at the beginning.

Although he gave up two runs in all five of his starts in April, he had a 3.86 ERA with 26 rashes and only four walks in 28 innings.

It was a solid representation of the veteran, but Wesneski was struggled with at his last start against the Milwaukee Brewers on May 6th, and it seems as if the elbow problem had been the reason.

How long will the right -handed man stay on the IL.

As for Vanwey, this is his second stay at the Astros in 2025.

After signing the franchise as an unaffected free agent in 2022, he worked in the ranks until he made his debut in the Major League on April 7 of this season. In six reliefs, he achieved a 1.35 ERA, firm numbers on the surface.

However, Vanwey also allowed 11 hits in his 6 2/3 innings of working with only two strikes. The hope is that he can continue to restrict the damage in relation to the runs and at the same time reduce the hits that the opposite lineup has against him.
