The spectacular sculptures and paintings by Michelangelo seem to be so familiar to us, but what do we really know about this Renaissance giant? Michelangelo's genius shows itself in everything he has touched. Beautiful and diverse works such as the high-towering statue of David, the moving Pietà in the papal basilica St. Peter and his Tour-de-Force, the Sistine Kapelledecover, leave us breathless today.

Michelangelo – Love and Death over his 88 years, makes a cinematic journey through the print and salt spaces in Europe through the large chapels and museums Florence, Rome and the Vatican, a deeper understanding of the legendary figure, his relationship with his contemporaries and his incredible leg.

Through expert comments, breathtaking pictures and Michelangelo's own words, this film accumulates a new master artist, whose life and genius are celebrated in every brand that it has made. Return to the cinemas in 2025 to celebrate the 550th birthday of this legendary artist.

Sculptor, painter, architect, poet, genius – you discover why Michelangelo is undoubtedly one of the greatest artists of all time.
