Cycle path to close

Turners Falls – From Monday, May 12th, part of the Canalide Rail Trail Bike Path from 11th Street Bridge will be closed to the Depot Street, because Firstlight Hydro Generating Co. concludes a maintenance project on the left dike of the Power Canal.

The closure is expected to continue for up to four weeks. Detours and signs have been published throughout the trail, with maps showing the detour and providing additional information for trail users.

Taylor Swift Tribute is coming to Shea Theater

Turner Falls – The Taylor Swift Tribute Show “13 – A celebration by Taylor Swift” will come to the Shea Theater Arts Center, 71 Avenue A on Saturday, May 10th, at 7:30 p.m.

The performance will show Swift's greatest hits like “Red”, “Shake It Off”, “Love Story”, “Cruel Summer”, “Karma” and others from their musical eras for an all -time audience. The tickets cost $ 35 for VIP seats on the inside with a poster and a bracelet, $ 25 for seats on the lower level and $ 20 for seating at the upper level. Spanish Language learning available in the library

Erving – “Mucho Gusto with Laurie Davidson”, the Spanish language and movement class for children up to the age of 4 and their supervisors, comes to the public library in the ERING public library Monday, May 12 and 19, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

“Mucho Gusto” courses are carried out in Spanish, whereby a bit of English is required to make understanding easier. The meetings are based on a collection of songs with overlapping topics and vocabulary. Students sing, dance and move and families who are little or not at all exposed to Spanish, as well as those who raise their children bilingual.

May 13th: Garden Club to meet

Erving – The Garden Club will compete on Tuesday, May 13th, at 1 p.m. in the Erving Senior and Community Center to discuss plans for the garden in the center and the new increased garden beds.

People are cordially invited to design and plan the vegetable, herb and flower layout in the increased garden beds.

Erving – The Greenfield Savings Bank and the Northwestern District Attorney's Office present information on the Identity theft in the Erving Senior and Community Center on Thursday, May 15th, at 1 p.m.

Mothers take care of the brick house

Turner Falls – Representative of the Support Program Moms Do Care will visit the Brick House Community Resource Center, 24 Third Street at 10:15 a.m.

The representatives will tell the participants of the services they offer for expected mothers or new mothers in recovery.

Garden aid to Greenfield Savings Bank available

Turner Falls -Peter Kretzger will present a “garden tips community” at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17th, at 1 p.m. in the Turner Falls Branch of the Greenfield Savings Bank in the Turner Falls in the Greenfield Savings Bank in 282 Avenue A

Guests can learn from the local breeder and vegetable supplier via successful garden methods. The event is free and easy refreshments are served.

Brick house 5k returns May 17th

Turners Falls -The eighth annual 5 km fundraiser of the Brick House Community Resource Center will take place on Saturday, May 17th, at 10 a.m. on the Canalide Rail Trail Bike Path in Unity Park.

The participants are invited to operate the full 5 km time or to contest the 1-mile “Walk and Roll” for hikers, roles and skaters. Young people aged 18 and over can register free of charge and on the online registration page the options for online registration are to be donated, donation and donation campaigns.

The online registration is funded and the pre-registration is $ 40. Registration on race day will be $ 45. There will be prices from local providers.

Register in advance at BrickhouseCommunity.org/5k. The proceeds go to the brick house.
