Phoenix (AP) -Juan Soto appeared in consecutive bats, Kodai Senga overcame early control problems to record six goalless Innerings, and the New York Mets defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-1 on Wednesday.

Soto hit a solo homer in front of Merrill Kelly (3: 2) in the seventh in Seventh and added another from Jalen Beeks in the eighth season. Soto also followed Francisco Lindor's two-run double with a victim fly in the ninth time to record New York 7-1.

It was the 25th multihomer game of Soto's career that was connected to Mel Ott, Eddie Mathews and Alex Rodriguez for the second most common player before he turned 27 behind Jimmie Foxx. Soto will only be on October 25th 27.
