Seattle Mariners GM offers exciting injury update on Ace Pitcher Logan Gilbert

One of the most valuable players on the Mariners squad in Seattle works on his return.

Mariner's ACE Logan Gilbert has been over since April 25th due to an elbow flexor in class 1. He was injured against Miami Marlins that evening and added to the injured list the next day.

Gilbert's original timeline had it closed for two weeks before it was re -evaluated for a throwing program. Gilbert increasingly threw the outdoor field on Seattle's latest road trip in Seattle.

Justin Hollander, General Manager of Mariners, gave an injury update about Gilbert on Friday before a game against Toronto Blue Jays. According to Hollander, Gilbert was able to go back to the hill from the outer field before Seattle's six-game homes are over.

“(Gilbert) will throw again today,” said Hollander. “If this progresses well, he could touch the hill at the end of this home state and throw a kind of bullpen or simply throw the hill. If he does the session through throwing session, the plan is, but if it is good today, it would drop a hill before the end of the house sewing.”

Gilbert, who played his first all-star game last season, had an ERA of 2.37 ERA with 44 rashes in 30.1 Innerings, which had set up six starts before his injury. Outside of his early train against the Marlin, he had at least seven rashes in each of his excursions.

Gilbert's injury was the youngest in a number of complaints with which the Mariners Pitching employee dealt with this season. George Kirby started the season with the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation. Several aids were on the injured list at various points, including Matt Brash, Troy Taylor, Jackson Kowar and Trevor God.

Gilbert's return will give the rotation a big thrust. They joined the Majors and the ninth place in the American League in Era (3.97) on Friday.
