AJ Minter may need an operation at the end of the season in brutal METS injuries

AJ Minter's tense LAT could require an operation at the end of the season, Carlos Mendoza said before the game on Tuesday in Citi Field against the diamondbacks.

“We are dealing with a significant injury,” said Mendoza.

The operation “is on the table,” said the manager.

Even if Minter avoids surgery, it is on the road for a long time.

“It's a big blow,” said Mendoza. “Not only because of its ability to throw innings with high leverage, but also his ability to get left and rights out.”

Mendoza added that they tried to protect against this type of injury with Minter and others.

“It is shit for him to go particularly early,” said Mendoza. “We did it with everyone and here we are with an injury that we tried to protect [against]. “”
