Halsey reflects the viral “Mallsey” video in the new interview

No matter how many hit songs Halsey writes, she could never sing in her local Blink-182 shopping center.

The pop star reflected the viral video from her adolescents, which fans lovingly referred to as “Mallsey”, during an appearance on Friday (May 9th) at Owen Thiele's In your dreams Podcast.

“Care for those who are looking for virality is that they cannot decide what that is if they try something in the hope that one will go, not decide what that is,” said Halsey in the podcast. “And this one could define you forever.”

Halsey continued that one of these things will probably be “without me” in her own career, which she is still considered “one of my favorite songs I have ever written”. However, the musician quickly pointed out: “I sang in the shopping center once when I was a child and everyone will remember until I probably die.”

The non -binaric pop star then explained the context of the “Mallsey” clips and said: “Here is the thing that sucks on it, right? Is that I really became popular on Tumblr, and this was the time when everyone was meeting.

At the suggestion of several Tumblr users, Halsey decided to organize her first in advance in Pennsylvania King of Prussia Mall. “I met all of these fans,” the singer continued. “It was the first time that I had ever hit a fan and they said:” Do you want to sing? “And I thought I have never sung in front of my bedroom.”

Settled on site, she started bravely in an A-cappella cover by Blink-182S Classic “I Miss You” complete with Tom Delonge's unforgettable vocal attack, which was captured by a fan in front of the camera and the rest, as you say, is internet history.

During the interview, Halsey confirmed that they are currently working on new music that will serve as a follow-up by 2024 The great imitatorAnd was also from her mother's funny reaction to her early fame from Tumblr.

In the meantime, Halsey has just put together with the Evanescence singer Amy Lee for her new collaborative single “Hand, the Feeds”
