The security guard turned by HPD records his own arrest on Facebook Live video

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A security guard twisted by the Houston police has recorded a video of his own dramatic arrest on cell phone video.

Walter Howard was shot by the police on Wednesday in a situation that his family describes as a case of false identity. And they refer to a 30-minute Facebook live stream because their brother never tried to injure the police.

The livestream was shown ABC13 by Howard's sisters. The video begins after howard was shot from HPD officers.

“Baby, call me an ambulance. I'm two blocks away from school,” Howard said to someone on the phone. The shootout took place in the Buxley Street, only two blocks from his own house and near the Lawson Middle School.

Howard is then seen on the video how he gets out of the car, complained that he was shot in the face and raised his hands while the officials shout away from afar. When they approached Howard with pulled weapons, he was seen in the video instruction. Then he puts his phone on the floor and asks for an ambulance when he was tied up with handcuffs.

“Can you bring me an ambulance while you are captivating me with handcuffs?” he asked.

“Stop the flap,” replied an HPD officer.

“Man, you don't have to talk to me like that,” replied Howard.

This entire incident began when the HPD carried out a hidden monitoring of a house through a few doors from Howard's house. HPD said on Wednesday that the police had become suspicious when he left his home with a bulletproof vest and held a helmet and a rifle case in his hand.

The police say that he then spoke aggressively to a hidden police officer and asked what they did in his neighborhood. This apparently increased the suspicion with HPD, and they then brought uniformed officers to initiate a traffic stop.

Howard's sisters say that her brother does not know that the man who sits in a non -marked car in his neighborhood is an officer. He only protected his neighborhood as every inhabitant would be.

“They went, took care of their day, then came the car and this person approached,” said sister Patricia Youngblood. “You don't know anything about her.”

On Wednesday, HPD said that they decided to carry out traffic stops including a pit manuever. They said howard was not adhered to and beaned instead and shot on officers. However, HPD says that it is uncertain whether Howard fired shots at all. His sisters say that they don't believe that he shot, and if this was the case, it was only because he feared in fear of his life.

“He's not that,” said sister Deolonda Clark. “I have the feeling that if he had shot at the police, he fears for his life.”

Only one phone is visible in the live stream video. It is unclear whether the rifle Howard has ever been removed from his carrying bag.

The sisters say that the live stream shows how Howard follows police commands. In addition, they point out that he has been a security officer and limousine driver for 30 years. They refer to Facebook posts in which Howard was enthusiastic about security for big events. They hope that the publication of body wave cameras and the court proceedings will extinguish the name of their brothers.

“I am upset and injured because I want my brother's name justify and clarified. I don't see him. My brother wouldn't do that. Everyone who knew he would tell you that he loved the police. He did it,” said Youngblood.

ABC13 asked HPD to stop Howard, they do not report to us on Friday. In addition, the neighbors showed us a video from HPD that arrested another person on the street on Thursday. They speculate that the arrest was that the investigators actually searched for on Wednesday when they saw Howard walked out of his house.

HPD has not yet updated us in this arrest.

At the moment, Howard remains behind bars and will be exposed to five separate fees.
