A man fights for life after a plane has crashed and grabbed two parts after it was turned upside down. The fuel should also escape under the ruins after the collision.

The incident occurred this afternoon, a few minutes after the small plane followed after the standstill at the end of the runway, and the fireman Lee Parry spoke about the consequences of the crash, reports the mirror.

The fireman, who is based in the Leigh Fire Station, told Bolton News that the plane is said to be “upside down”, with “fuel leaks” and debris being scattered around the crash site.

He said: “Firefighters from the technical reaction in Leigh were called to Barton Airodrom to receive reports on a plane crash. The plane is to be turned upside down. Two people are seriously injured. The fuel is leaking and there are debris in the area.”

The incident took place in the Barton Aerodrome in Eccles, Salford, Greater Manchester. Another unaffected witness described the moment when the plane did not go to the ground long after the start of two parts, reports Manchester Evening News.

They said: “The plane steered down the runway and when it reached the end of the runway, there was a loud pop sound and the engine section after the plane had already taken off and was about two or three meters in the air.

“It continued at a very low height before the wing hit the floor on one side. Then it rolled around completely wrong and the plane grabbed two parts.

“You then sounded an alarm and around 20 rescue vehicles in the course of the next five to ten minutes, including the police, fire and ambulance.”

The police from Greater Manchester confirmed that two men were brought to Salford Royal Hospital, one with life -threatening injuries, and another who suffered “potentially life -changing” injuries.

The force said in a statement: “Emergency services are currently responding to a plane crash in the Barton Airodrome. Two men were taken to the hospital.

“One with life -threatening injuries and another with potentially life -changing injuries. There is a scene, while rescue workers carry out their inquiries and ask people to avoid the area.”

A spokesman for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At around 5:30 p.m., three fire engines from all over Greater Manchester and the technical reaction unit visited an aircraft accident in Barton Airodrome, ECCles.

“Firefighters arrived quickly and supported the police from Greater Manchester, North West Ambulance Service and the airport fire brigade to make the area safe and help two victims out of the plane.

“Both victims were transferred to the care of the North West Ambulance service and moved to the Salford Royal Hospital. The crews were present for about an hour.”

Members of the public were asked to avoid the area, while emergency services continue to carry out their inquiries. The crash, which took place around 5:30 p.m., has struggled one of the victims for his life in the hospital.

Three firefighters accepted and stayed on site for about an hour. The Barton airfield said: “Today at 5:07 p.m., an aircraft accident occurred within the Barton Aerodrome border, the AAIB was informed and carried out an investigation.

“Our RFFs took part in the incident and worked with external emergency services. The two people on board the aircraft were hospitalized via the street car. Further details are given if available.”
