Texas against Texas A & M softball score: Recap, highlights from Friday

Athens, GA. – Texas A&M spoke a lot about getting “Getback” against Texas softball after he ended his season in Austin in two consecutive years. In a second tournament on Friday in the Jack Turner Stadium, the Aggies triggered part of this frustration.

Texas A & M (45-9), the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament, was shortened to a 14-2 victory in a game on five inners due to the role of mercy. It is most of the Texas races with the third seed since he had 15-10 against central florida in 2023.

While No. 5 Texas (46-10) will have a few days to find out what went wrong at McCombs Field before the start of the NCAA tournament, the high-ranking Aggies will be prepared against the regular season champion Oklahoma on Saturday.

Read a repetition and highlights from the loss of the Longhorns against Texas A&M.

Texas A&M rolls into the SEC tournament game against Oklahoma, while Texas travels to Austin to prepare for the NECA Regional Net Weekend at McCombs Field. It is the worst loss for Texas for a 16: 1 setback against Oklahoma in the series of women of women College 2022.

For the first time in this game, Texas A&M does not achieve a run. Sophia Simpson still has to allow a goal in 1.1 Innerings. Texas is three outs away from its Sec tournament debut.

Ashton Maloney creates a single for Texas. She has both hits of the Longhorns until Kayden Henry follows with another infield single. Reese Atwood finally brings Texas to the board with a 2-RBI single into the left field.

Defensive changes for Texas. 3b Mia Scott, probably the best player in the Longhorns, takes up space and Joley Mitchell moves from 1b to 3b (and makes a really nice throw on the new 1b Kate Cimusz, although the exclamation is lifted), but is it important? Amari Harper gets her third goal of the game and the third Homer the Aggies. This drives into three and pitcher Sophia Simpson to end things in the circle for Texas.

Is Texan coach Mike White already wagged the white flag? The rarely used Freshman Shylien Brister scored in hole No. 8 for 2B Leighan Gode when Texas is okay again.

The bikes fell from the Texas pitching rod and its defense. This is the first time throughout the season that the Longhorns have approved at least 10 runs. Will the Longhorns pour away and make it a game, or will they lick the wounds and prepare for regional in Austin next week?

Do you remember when I said that the aggies look locked up? Texas, not so much. A second mistake – a misunderstanding between 2b Leighan Gooden and 1b Joley Mitchell – leads to two unexpected runs. And then KK Dementia follows with her second Homer of the game. Oh, mercy, this Aggie lineup is on fire. This is all for Cambria Salmon, who gave up four goals and four runs – none of them earn. Citlaly Gutierrez is next in the fire line.

Three up, three below for A & M Ace Emiley Kennedy. The aggies appear locked up.

Only a catastrophic start for Texas. The only silver strip? Hemester Cambria Salmon came in for Mac Morgan and did well with two strikeouts and a flyout. The Longhorns may need to fight this after season with Morgans.

A Leadoff single from Kennedy Powell, a walk to Koko Wooley and the interference of a catcher invites the bags without an excursion for Texas Pitcher Mac Morgan. And things get worse with an RBI single from Mac Barbara, a 2-run double by Amari Harper and a 3-run home of KK dementia. This is for Morgan. And still nobody out.

Ashton Maloney performs things for Texas with a first pitch single, but it is initially doubled after a pop-out by Kayden Henry. Fast start by Aggie Ace Emiley Kennedy.

The Longhorns and the Aggies start at 6.10 p.m. CT, which is about 35 minutes after the 8:16 win of Oklahoma against Arkansas.

Oklahoma dramatically entered into the second tournament championship game and hit Arkansas 8: 6 with a decline, 3 run by Gabbie Garcia in the first semi-finals on Friday. The top sooners, the SEC champion of the regular season, swept Texas, but did not play Texas A & M.
