Woman killed, man hurried to the hospital after the crash in Bonneville County

The following is a press release from the Sheriff office of the Bonneville County.

The deputies of the Sheriff of Bonneville County and the fire from Idaho Falls reacted to an accident with two vehicle injuries on the Lewisville Highway (5th east) north of the 97th north shortly before 3 p.m.

The emergency staff arrived to find a pick -up and a smaller car had pushed head -on, which led to both overturning. Both drivers had been ejected from the vehicles and there were no other inmates.

The driver of the pickup, a 21-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car, a 61-year-old woman, was died at the crime scene.

Preliminary details from the scene show that the pickup on the Lewisville Highway was south and crossed the center line, with the car collided north. The Bonneville County's Coroner office reacted to the scene and the investigation is still ongoing.
