Donovan Mitchell gives Cleveland Cavs an injury.

Cleveland – The cavaliers will stop their collective breath.

At this point in the season, with the Cavs on the edge, to lock up number 1 in the east and nothing else, a violation of an important contribution from workst-case scenario is obvious. The Cavs must now hope that this is not the case with Star Guard Donovan Mitchell.

In the third quarter of the game on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings, Mitchell made a layup and could have ended up somewhat uncomfortable.

When Mitchell ran down the floor again to defend it, he seemed to stumble near Kings Guard Keon Ellis. Mitchell bumped into the ground in pain and kept his ankle in obvious symptoms.

After Mitchell was down for a minute, he limp from the floor and went into the changing room.

Mitchell was able to check back into the game with 3:02 in the third quarter. Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson had a conversation with the All-Star Guard before entering again.

“I had a discussion with him. I told him, I said:” Listen if it is 5 percent, you are a little weak or whatever, or it bothers you to tell me so that we can get it out, “said Atkinson. “We have several games to try to win this thing. I don't have to do it tonight. And he said it was okay, you know, I felt good.”

After the game, Mitchell was asked how he felt and replied: “I was never better.”

Mitchell confirmed that he injured his ankle when he stepped on Ellis' foot and that he will see what it feels like tomorrow. The Cavs will monitor exactly how Mitchell will bring back in the coming days.
