Warriors offer update to Butler's injuries that Status 3 in game 3 originally appeared in NBC Sports Bay Area

The striker of Warriors, Jimmy Butler, avoided a serious injury, but his status for game 3 against the Houston Rockets is in the air.

An MRI confirmed that Butler suffered a pelvis and a deep contraception of gluten muscles, which Warriors shared on Friday and his status for the game on Saturday in the Chase Center is questionable.

This comes afterwards ESPNS Shams Charania reported Thursday evening, citing a league source that Butler suffered a deep gluten muscle contusion and that its availability for the game on Saturday in the Chase Center is in “serious danger”. Charania reported that Butler's MRI did not reveal any pelvic breaks or structural damage.

Before the updates about Butler's status, Tristi Rodriguez from NBC Sports Bay Area spoke to Dr. Marc Saffran from Stanford Medicine, MD, about when the 35-year-old may be able to return to the court.

“Totally a guess because we do not know the degree of damage, but I suspect that if it is not structurally, if you like it, only inflammation is about, it will really be about cope with the pain and what it can play through and be able to play through effectively,” said Dr. Saffron. “He is a motivated guy who wants to get out and play, and so he will come back as soon as it is absolutely possible without trying to compensate for a higher risk.

“Fortunately, if it is not structural, what MRI will tell us, it is only more a function to cope with the inflammation, to cope with the pain to bring it there.

“So, is the next game completely out of the picture? No, it is not. But most people because this is, it can take a week to two or three before they actually return.

Butler suffered the injury to the Rockets at the end of the first quarter of the Warriors' Game 2 and was excluded in the middle of the second quarter with a pelvic account.

Although it seems that Butler will miss the Pivotal Swing game on Saturday, his agent Bernie Lee Marc J. Spears von ESPN wrote with a cryptic message.
