Venezuelan immigrants who were killed by Stray Bullet in the apartment in Dallas, which are interspersed with ball holes

(KTVT/CBS Texas) – Joana del Valle Cemballos de Sousa spoke with a broken heart and tears about her husband Gabriel Alejandro Golindaño Alvarez.

“It's really difficult for me because we had so many plans, so many things,” she said. “He was a hardworking man, honest, sociable, he had goals he wanted to achieve.”

Del Valle Cemballos de Sousa told CBS News Texas that her husband was killed after a stray ball killed him when he slept at 2 a.m.

The Dallas police said they had arrived at the 3100 block of the Spruce Valley Lane, where they found a man who had been shot.

On Friday, CBS News Texas visited the Westwood Apartments and discovered an apartment with over 20 spheres.

Del Valle Cemballos de Sousa said she and her husband lived in the apartment where the shots were fired.

“It was strange, because when we heard so loud noises, he is usually the one who woke me up, and I tried to move and wake him up, and nothing … and then I decided to switch on the light, and he was bloodlessly,” she said.

The 31-year-old arrived from Venezuela four years ago. Del Valle Cemballos de Sousa said her husband had no criminal records, has never had any involved in drugs and had no connections to those who aimed at their neighbors. She said they came to the United States in the hope of finding security and constant work.

“One of our goals was to buy a house in Venezuela, and he wanted to return to Venezuela to see his mother,” said Del Valle Cemballos de Sousa.

Now del Valle Cemballos de Sousa is planning a widow, her husband's funeral and not knowing what a future will look like without him.

“I love him so much, I guess him, I respect him … For me he was more than a partner, he was my life result,” she said.

It is unclear whether the police have made arrests in this case or whether they have leads. A police spokesman in Dallas said this was an ongoing investigation.
