Hope behind bars: Sanctus Real Releases Moving prison concert videos

A powerful four-song video of Sanctus Real In a full length concert in a prison in Ohio, the public is now available and offers an insight into a special performance that brought hundreds of inmates hope and healing.

The Christian Rock Band nominated by the Grammy, awarded Dove Award, appeared on October 1, 2024 as part of a partnership with the non-profit broadcasting musicians in prison in the Grafton Correctional Facility. While the full concert was recorded and shared directly with detained people, this newly published video is made available to the broader public for the first time.

The video that is now available on YouTube – creates four songs from the performance, with others such as speaking of segments and additional music to preserve the privacy of those present.

The founding guitarist of Sanctus Real, Chris Rohman, said the performance was deeply significant.

“It was a long time ago that I had such a purpose and such a conviction to share these songs of hope with an audience,” he said and later described the moment as one in which “God broke spiritual walls”.

The performance was part of send musicians to the ongoing work of the prison, which brought live and pre-drawn music to the correction facilities in the USA every month. The organization reaches more than 200,000 inmates with content that concentrates on healing and restoration through music.

Sanctus Real was founded in Toledo, Ohio, and published 10 studio albums and acquired a call for authentic, hopeful songwriting. Her best -known tracks include “trust”, “Lead Me” and “Aifive” with over 2.5 million monthly listeners alone on Spotify.

Although the band is not included in the public video, she also listed her latest single, “The difference” During the Grafton concert. The track will appear on the Christian Radio on June 18 and was described by Worship manager magazine as “a brave hymn of hope and transformation in Christ.”
