Iowa couple killed in the accident with two vehicles on the Veterans Parkway in Sioux Falls – Sioux Falls Live

Sioux Falls-Zweu humans were killed and another was seriously injured in an accident with two vehicles on the Veterans Parkway.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 9th, the police in Sioux Falls were called to cross the Veterans Parkway and 57th Street for an accident with two vehicles.

According to SGT. Travis Olsen, a GMC Sierra from 2018, was south on the Veterans Parkway when a Ford Taurus 2015, which drove north, tried to turn left before oncoming traffic. The Sierra hit the bull at the intersection.

A 78-year-old passenger of the Ford Taurus was declared dead at the crime scene. The 77-year-old male driver of Taurus died in a hospital in Sioux Falls. Both occupants came from Lester, Iowa.

The 35-year-old driver of the GMC, a man from Harrisburg, was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Olsen said it was unclear whether speed or other intoxicants played a factor in the crash.

The traffic department of the Sioux Falls police authority leads to examining the crash.

Names have not yet been published. Further information is expected on Monday morning.
