“Phenomenal” crime series, which was added to Amazon Prime, as all fans say the same thing

A popular crime drama is experiencing a revival in Amazon Prime Video, and it has the audience again.

Highly praised psychological thriller The Herbst with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan has just broken off streaming service, and fans recommend it with enthusiasm.

The series was originally premiered in 2013 and fascinated the audience for three intensive seasons until its conclusion in 2016.

With its debut in Prime, the show is now attracting new spectators – and the consensus is clear: “You have to look at it.”

The series, which was designed by Allan Cubitt, plays Anderson as the determined detective superintendent Stella Gibson, who is on the trail of Paul Spector (played by Dornan), a serial killer who is known to women who are famous as a Belfast strand. The cat-and-mouse pursuit between Gibson and Spector comprises three carefully coordinated seasons that make the audience nervous.

While the show was previously accessible to BBC iPlayer for those who are based in the UK, fans flow in the states of Amazon Prime to observe the entire series.

Online awards for the series appear. A Reddit user called out: “It is a very tense clock” and added “phenomenal appearances all around, especially Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson. It is such a lack of show. Give him a clock if you haven't done it yet.”

The spectators continue to rave about the series, one of them called it “tense and sophisticated”, and others praised them as “brilliant” and “the perfect program of all time” in every aspect.

With an impressive rating of 85% for rotting tomatoes from both critics and the audience and receiving bright reviews on IMDB has consolidated its status as a must-watch. The show admirers cannot stop talking about their uncanny cinematography, to talk about tensions -filled, slowly built narrative and the extraordinary performances.

“The direction is deliberately, carefully and completely synchronized with the story,” said an impressed viewer, while someone else could not help but be fascinated by Gillian Anderson's appearance.

The series also shows an outstanding side line -up, which includes John Lynch, Archie Panjabi, Niamh Mcgrady, Stuart Graham, Bronagh Waugh, Valene Kane and Laura Donnelly.

Despite some fans who express their desire for more seasons, the consensus is that the show was completed at the right moment. “One of these shows I wish I had more seasons,” commented a fan, “but I am also glad that they didn't pull it out.”
