The 21-year-old suspect who was arrested in Orange Car Shooting Death-orange County Register

A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death of 24-year-old Amber Nicole Parsons, who was killed in a dead end early Tuesday, May 6th.

The suspect was identified as the Allan Plata by Orange. He was arrested on Friday shortly after 5 p.m. in a residence in La Habra. According to Orange Police Lt .phil McMullin, Plata was instructed for murder, murder and violation of the probation in the Orange County prison.

Parsons from Costa Mesa drove her Honda SUV near Highland Street and Del Mar Avenue in Orange on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. when a man shot into the vehicle several times, killed Parsons and injured a passenger. The passenger was identified as a woman in her twenties. According to the police, the male suspect ran from the scene with a pistol.

The murder was the first murder in Orange in two years, said McMullin.

Information on a motif or if there is a connection between the suspect and the victims, were not immediately available.
