Highlights of Hope Event May 22nd May 22nd

According to a community announcement, New Hope Inc. will honor five individuals and organizations at his annual highlights of Hope event.

The event, which was discontinued in Lake Pearl in Wrentham on Thursday, May 22nd, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., will also recognize the former CEO Marcia Szymanski for their decades of leadership and role in the founding of the House of Hope, a domestic protection for domestic violence that was opened in March 2025. Diishadore Famouz and Victoria will be more obvious than the Emces return.

The 2025 winners include the Bristol County Savings Bank (Business of the Year), Cheryl Gray (volunteer of the year – individual), Schneider Electric (Volunteer of the Year – Business), Dolores Toribio by Seven Hills (Community Partner of the Year) and Greg and Kathy Spier from Spier Family Foundation (Edith Palmer Award).

The event will also offer an auction to collect donations for new hopes free and confidential sexual and domestic violence. One of the auction objects is a signed pressure of the event logo, which was created by an animal shelter known as Sophie.

“When I knew about my passion for art, a lawyer invited me to create the design for this year's Highlights of Hope event,” said Sophie. “I immediately thought of sunshine, birds that fly freely, flower and bloom and a way forward. I feel very honored to return my art and thank you in the new hope.”

The auction went live on May 1st, together with a gold raffle that offered a five-night safari in the South African region of Waterberg.

New Hope was founded in 1979 and serves 41 cities in the southeast and in the Southern Center Central Massyetts with offices in Attleboro, Milford, Southbridge, Taunton and Worcester. The organization offers a number of services, including a 24-hour hotline, emergency accommodation, advice, a lawyer of the court, a medical advocacy, the lawyers' office, monitoring visitation and prevention education.

New Hope helps almost 4,000 people every year and achieves more than 6,000 through contact and prevention efforts. All services are free and confidential and made available to everyone affected by sexual and domestic violence.
