New York Yankees Star DJ Lemahieu is now dealing with a new injury to rehabilitation

The New York Yankees did their best to survive the storm this season after dealing with numerous injuries in spring training.

Although things in pitching staff were largely not good, the crime was able to thrive without Giancarlo Stanton and DJ Lemahieu, both of which were put on the injured list to start the year.

For Lemahieu, a calf injury was particularly devastating during his first exhibition game after he apparently received healthy when he couldn't stay on the field.

Although there was no schedule at first, Lemahieu had to miss the beginning of the season while he was back in the way again in the first few months.

The veteran seemed to be about to get a return, and he absolutely torn it up during a double a rehabilitation last week, but now it sounds like he was doing a brand new injury.

As Bryan Hoch reported on MLB.com for the first time, Lemahieu received a cortisone injection in his right hip on Tuesday. Manager Aaron Boone described the injection as “preventive” and the 36-year-old “felt like something performed”.

Boone said the team was hopeful that Lemahieu can later return to the little leagues this week, which it will be worth to monitor closely in the next few days.

Whether the injection is both preventively and a minor like Boone seems to see, but it is the last thing the Yankees wanted to hear on their experienced information.

In the first four games of his rehab task, Lemahieu crushed the ball with a Homerun and three RBI with 6-against-10. He looked as if he was not only approaching a return, but also significantly increasing the line -up.

Even in a best scenario, Lemahieu is likely to be delayed for a few additional days, which will push back his ultimate return date.

If Lemahieu's injury is worse than Boone, it is not out of the possibility that it could no longer be for a long time.
