Mets Slug Four Home Runs in the series opening victory against Cubs (highlights)

The New York Mets (25-14) wasted no time to rinse their strength in Flushing on Friday evening and started four Homeruns in a 7-2 win over the Chicago Cubs (22-17) to start their homestead with six games.

Francisco Lindor gave the tone with elite defense and even better insult. After playing in the first half, his fourth season, in which a slick -bar -hand game played at the top of the first game. The long ball parade lasted in the second when board Baty and Jeff McNeil went deeply on two back tins to increase the lead to 3-0.

New York kept the pressure on the Cubs starters Jameson Taillon, who took a strong track record against the Mets, but did not stop the fourth. A Dansby Swanson's Warfal error in the third enabled two other runs, which was 5-0. Juan Soto added his eighth Homer of the season in the fourth, a solo shot.

Starter Clay Holmes gave the Mets six festivals, so that only one run and five rose to five. He worked for the traffic and lowered his ERA to 2.74, while he was drawing his third start in a row.

In the eighth, Lindor added another spark with a stolen base and a run on Sotos second RBI of the night. The Bullpen took care of the rest with strong excursions by Ryne Stanek, Dedniel Núñez, Reed Garrett and José Butto.
