Clipper at Nuggets Game 5 forecast, select

Griffin Wong collapses his analysis, prediction and selection for Clipper at Nuggets Game 5 Tuesday.

Talk about the nail bites and talk about controversy. The ball may still have been on Aaron Gordon's fingertips when it expired in the game 4 on Saturday. Even with the recurrence of the slowdown, he was too close to calling, and who knows whether he would not have been ruled in the beginning. Gordon's game winner was only the second summer, which was crowned in the NBA playoff story.

Now the Denver Nuggets have a head start home, since the series takes place 2-2 with game 5 in the Rocky Mountains. From the eight playoff series in the first round, this is the only one that is bound. Everyone else either plays the decisive game 5 or have already ended with a sweep. It was what was expected by two teams that ended with identical 50-32 records during the regular season and the regular series of season was shared.

The clipper are 1.5-point favorites (-130 MONEYLINE) AT Draftking's sports bookWith the total rate for 208.5. In the meantime, Denver +110 is on the Moneyline.

So far, this series has been literally decided by centimeters and milliseconds. Game 1 might not have been extended if La Center Ivica Zubac did not miss three of his four free throws, or Kawhi Leonard just turned the ball six times instead of seven. Game 2 was ultimately populated by the three -time MVP Nikola Jokić with seven giveaways, including one about the penultimate possession of the Nuggets. Game 3 would still have been a Clipper Blowout, and game 4 would have worked in overtime if the ball had just left Gordon's hands a few milliseconds later.

These two have the better potential storylines of any team that remains in the playoffs. Jokić was able to lead his team to his second title in three seasons and strengthened himself as a top -10 player in the NBA story. Either James Harden or Russell Westbrook could finally get a ring to serve as a cherry on his career in Hall of Fame. Kawhi Leonard, who was beaten by injuries, but somehow revived his heyday at the age of 33, tries to become the second player who has ever wins the Finale -MVP with three different franchise companies. But before one of these teams can dream of a title, they naturally have to lose each other.

It is everyone's assumption how it will develop. Leonard, Harden and Zubac are probably three of the four best players in the series. But Jokić is not just the best player in the series, he is the best player on the planet, and for that reason Dasver is never out. According to his standards, he had a fairly pedestrian series, but 28.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 10.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game to 54-48-69 shooting spreads would literally be incredible. His 36-point 21-Board-Eight Assist in game 4, in which he scored 16 points in the third quarter alone, was almost heroic, even if he only scored five points in the fourth when La almost came back from 20 points.

Nuggets at Clippers pick, best bet

The defense alone could not necessarily win championships, although the average champion has had the sixth best defensive evaluation of the league over the past 25 years. In this case, the clipper should be preferred to ultimately win the series, as they took third place in the regular season in the defensive evaluation and the Nuggets only the 21st place. But LA not only has a significantly better defensive squad, IT service plan has the best individual defender in this post. Among the 96 players who defended at least 30 shots in this post, Leonard allowed the opponents to hit only 23.7% of their shots, a mark of 9.1 percentage points better than any other player.

In the first four games in the series, Tyronn Lue Leonard primarily on Michael Porter Jr. in the 22 minutes in which the two have coordinated, Porter only achieved nine points on three times, and for the series he only achieved 10.5 points and 7.3 boards per game and only shot 43.8% from the two-point range. However, it is worthwhile to ask whether Lue will research more with Leonard on Jokić. In the six minutes in which he was guarded by Leonard, the 30-year-old Serbier only shot two for eight and missed all three of his three-point shots. The problem is that the setting of Leonard on Jokić Zubac on Gordon would be left to Gordon, and Gordon is too sporty to be sustainable.

Denver could get Westbrook back this evening after giving game 4 with a foot injury that forced him to leave game 3 after only nine minutes. Porter is probably also a shoulder argument, but he fought to fight with the injury in game 3 before returning in game 4 with a 17-point performance. The Nuggets probably want Westbrook, especially after his heroic deed of the Crunch-Time time, but the team was 8.3 points per 100 possessions. The absence of the MVP 2016-17 also relaxed from Christian Braun, who finally fell 4 17 points in game and possibly lost some shots to the notoriously inefficient Westbrook.

Jamal Murray's shot will also be an X factor. The Canadian is one of the most famous playoff climbers in NBA history and achieved fairly solid appearances in each of the first three games before a five-to-5-to-17 stinker stinks in game 4. Dunn forced Murray in a slightly less efficient look than usual. 62.7% of his regular seasonal shots came with the next defender in at least four feet, a number that has dropped to 59.2% in this series, including eight out of 17 (47%) in game 4. I expect Murray to close back in game 5 for Murray, but if the Clippers come up with his strokes, it is no guarantee that the jumper starts.

The deeper into the series it gets, the more fatigue a factor will be, and since LA is able to produce a way of his bank in a way that cannot, Leonard and hard have teamed up to play for 23 less minutes than Jokić and Murray. Nicolas Batum is not shot on wide-open, catches and scales as in game 4, and Bogdan Bogdanović finally has a passable offensive performance, while I can't say that about westbrook about Nuggets banking boys. The depth and defense of the clipper will be just enough to squeeze a victory.

Best bet: La Clippers Moneyline (-130)
