Chicago Crime: 3 suspects who shot 2 men on the west side, says CPD

Three suspects were arrested and charged with the shootout of two people on the west side of the city last Wednesday.

What we know:

According to the Chicago Police Department, the shootout of a 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old man took place at 6:22 p.m. in the 700 block of the North Spaulding Avenue in the East Garfield Park district.

The suspects Dalvin, Mullen, 27, Byjon Grant (18) and Byron Atkins (19) were arrested on the same day and charged with several crimes, the police said.

Mullen was charged because of a heavy battery, possession of a firearm, severe flight, drug possession, possession of a stolen vehicle, stricter escape from the police and several offenses.

Grant was charged with severe battery, intensified illegal possession of a weapon and ruthless behavior of the offense.

Atkins was charged with severe battery, intensified illegal possession of a weapon and ruthless behavior of offenses.

What's next:

The three suspects should appear in court on Saturday.
