Register for an unconditional 30-day armistice or with new and massive “sanctions against your banking and energy sector as well as increased military help for Ukraine.

This is the message that was made available to Russia by the leaders of Great Britain, France, Germany and Poland when they met the Ukrainian President Zelensky in a gesture of European unity and solidarity.

After a virtual meeting of the so-called “coalition of the will” jene countries and organizations that were ready to ensure the security of Ukraine after the war-the leaders held a call with President Trump.

They then organized a press conference on which they are calling for a comprehensive 30-day armistice on Monday.

“This is Europe, the appearance,” said Keir Starrer. “We all call Putin. If he is serious, he has the chance to show it now.”

So far, Russia has insisted that the West -before it has taken into account the US 30 -day ceasefire, must first stop military help to Ukraine, which is probably an unacceptable prerequisite.

The key question now is what President Trump does next.

Does he really run out of patience with Putin's revival and will he impose threatened sanctions? Or does he throw a lifeline to the Russian president and lowers a deal about the heads of Ukraine and his friends in Europe?
