Bronx fatal accident: 43-year-old man who was killed in Morrisania in hit-and-run

Morrisania, the Bronx (WABC) – The police in the Bronx are looking for a driver who is responsible for killing a man in an accident.

Officials say that the crash was held in the Morrisania department shortly before 1 a.m. in East 160th and Webster Avenue.

The police responded to a call about a pedestrian hit and found a 43-year-old man on the street after their arrival.

A preliminary investigation showed that the man crossed the street when he was hit by a black Mercedes who drove south on the webster Ave.

Ems replied and transferred the pedestrian to the Lincoln Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver fled from the scene and so far no arrests have been made.

The identity of the man is kept by the family notification of the family.

“It was like my brother. He remembers that he was a good guy, a family man. A whole father,” said a resident of the area of ​​Eyewitness News.

“I think we have to slow down and pay attention to the pedestrians. We will live longer.”
