Video shows Pope Leo at White Sox Game in the World Series 2005 and seemed to confirm where his baseball loyalty in Chicago lies

Chicago (WLS) – A brother of the newly elected Pope says that the Pope, born in Chicago, is a White Sox fan, and a video could offer some evidence.

The video shows the then Robert Francis Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, in the crowd at the World Series Game 2005 in the Baseballpark, which is now known as a rate Field and is generally called SOX Park.

The video seems to lead a debate between the SOX and the Cubs on the Pope's baseball loyalities. It appeared after John Prevost made it clear that his brother, the Pope, roots for the southern spanner.

Tariff Feld used Prevost's comments and published a sign with the inscription: “Hey Chicago, he is a Sox fan!” How Wrigley Field published a similar message and said: “Hey, Chicago, he is a Cubs fan!”

Prevost also made it clear that her mother came from the north side and her side of the family roots for the Cubs.

Since Pope Leo XIV grew up in Dolton and attended school on the extreme south side, it would make sense that he would be a SOX type if the baseball loyalty.

And the SOX are definitely proud of it. They even created a “Pope Leo” priest.
