Vehicle and a cyclist accident end with traffic operators

Chattanooga, tenn. (WDEF) – On Friday morning, the Chattanooga police reacted to a crash with a vehicle and a cyclist at the intersection of the 4400 block of the Oakhill Road and Sterchi Drive at around 7:17 a.m.

On arrival on site, the officials found a 55-year-old male cyclist with life-threatening injuries.

The officials carried out an HLW until Hamilton County Ems arrived and took over.

The cyclist was taken to a local hospital, where he was later died.

The traffic unit of the Chattanooga Police Department reacted to the scene to begin the investigation.

The investigation shows that a Nissan (vehicle 1) drove south on the Oakhill Road and approached the Sterchi Drive intersection.

The cyclist drove east on the Sterchi Drive and drove in front of the Nissan.

The vehicle then hit the bike.

Hamilton County Ems transported the driver of vehicle 1 and a passenger to a local hospital for the treatment of alleged minor injuries.
