A voice scandal breaks over a pavilion in an Odesa Park :: Intent :: Ukrainian media :: Intent

Odesa is back in the spotlight – and not because of personnel changes in the city council or in international investments, but due to a problem that has not lost since the beginning of the war: which language is spoken here.

The incident in the city park once again attached the topic of language tension, which regularly appears in peaceful everyday life – that's exactly what it is about.

The scandal did not start because of the language, but because the older women wanted to bring the young journalists to another table in the pavilion at all costs. For some reason, it was important that the old ladies are sitting at the table where the young girls ended their work, even though the table was completely free and was enough space for three. In the course of the argument, the aggressive pensioners mentioned the “Russian -speaking city of Odesa” and sent the girls to Lviv or Kyiv.

The director's director said the intention that the pavilion was actually installed at the request of the pensioners, but this does not mean that it is only for them.
