Friends, family remember woman who was killed after the accident of suspects in hit-and-running accident

Nashville, Tenn. (WSMV)-more than two years after a woman was killed in a violent accident, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) arrested the man who was considered responsible, the 25-year-old Torion Bean.

It was shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, when MNPD officers were called to crash at the intersection of Dickerson Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard in Madison.

Kimberly Benobil was 26 years old when she died after she was hit by a stolen car that drove a red light on Dickerson Pike.

Kiya Garmon drove Benzuy in the car that night.

“A piece of me was left in this car this evening … it changed my life forever. I can't get my friend back what the most painful part is,” said Garmon.

Benzu and Garmon drove home from one night. Garmon never thought that it would end as it did. Everything she reminds you can wake up in the hospital.

“I felt that God had left me when I received this call. I had a lot of questions, trouble …” said Hudson.

“I didn't want to let my baby go without justice. I can say one thing: my faith was restored,” said Hudson.
