The former Celtics Great Paul Pierce was so confident in game 2 against the Knicks that he would go to work “in my robe” barefoot if they lost in the second round for a second game in a row.

“When Celtics lose game 2 at home, I promise you to go here tomorrow,” he said on Wednesday in an FS1 show. “I guarantee that. Put the house in this game.”

It wasn't that great. The Celtics took a lead of 20 points in game 2, as lost in game 1 and 91-90.

Pierce seemed to honor his vows on Thursday and said that he set off before the sun rose to work in the Los Angeles area after a 20.2 mile commuter. He has released updates on Instagram live. Pierce made the clever choice not to run barefoot, but pulled bathing? Yes.

“In order, it's time for me to increase me,” he said after 5 a.m. and called himself a “man of my word”.
