One person was killed on Saturday morning on Saturday morning on the Montauk Highway in Copiage, said the Suffolk County police.

The crash took place around 5:40 a.m. near the Highway intersection with the Emerson Avenue, a spokesman for Suffolk Police said in an e -mail to Newsday. The Suffolk police did not provide any additional details about the crash victim.

The crash closed the Montauk Highway between the Wilson Avenue and the Dawes Avenue until shortly after noon on Saturday, the police said.

Pictures from the crash crash on Saturday morning show a Copizing Fire Department vehicle at the scene. The department did not answer the information request from Newsday.

The Suffolk police have not yet published any further details about the type of crash or the vehicles involved.
