Local Roundup: Panthers achieves 24 runs in the region

Saegertown-Das Baseball team from Saegertown defeated Jamestown in three Innerings in a 3-game region on Friday with Ed Acker American Legion Field with 24: 7.

The Panthers scored four runs and 20 in the second. Wyatt Burchill, Aaron Shartle and Gabriel Jordan were each 4. Demarcus Manning had three goals.

Saegertown exceeded Jamestown 23-6. Garrett Crawford hit the bump and allowed a deserved run.

Brianna Kope added a triple and hit twice. Maplewood 4-5 overall and in regions. The tigers will organize Conneaut today.

Saegertown loses on the way

West Sunbury-Saegertown lost on Friday against Moniteau 23-13 in a non-Region soft ball game at the Moniteau High School.

The Panthers scored nine runs in the opening and led to the bottom of the fifth with 12: 4. Moniteau scored 12 runs in the fifth and seven in the sixth.

Maddy Pratt, Rylee Price and Leah McGill each had several goals. Hailey Obenrader had four RBIs and Mackenzie Brauen scored four runs.

Saegertown is a total of 7-5 and is to play another non-region game at Reynolds on Monday.
