Teen girl attacked and robbed in East Baltimore, crimes in front of the camera

A 16-year-old girl was attacked and robbed on Thursday evening when he was walking in the Holly Cross Lane, a side street near the Harford Road in East Baltimore, the police said. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. when the girl was confronted by two people who were originally identified as male teenagers and wore a black man with a ski mask and the other in a gray hoodie and black jogging pants.

Surveillance cameras from a nearby building grasped the moment when the suspects approached the victim. One of the suspects met the girl and announced a robbery. He may have indicated that he had a gun by pointing to his waistband, the police said. The suspects took the victim's cell phone and a few shoes.

The victim ran into a nearby marathon petrol station in the Harford Road and Bonaparte looking for help. Doctors treated them because of a slight head injury.

“It looked like she was going with her and then set up,” said a witness as Tiniya Bogues.

The residents expressed shock and concern about the incident. “I was unprepared right now. I mean, I couldn't believe that two men could attack a woman as they did. And their personal things were taken away. That was crazy too,” said Bogues.

The incident is part of a trendy trend of youth criminal offense in the city with young suspects and victims. Eric Snipe, a resident of West Baltimore, expressed his frustration and said: “We came back against the wall with these children. They need an account, effect. You cannot whip your (explosion), the government does not want us to (explosive) and discipline it.”

Another woman at the petrol station asked to hold parents accountable for their children's actions. “We have parents who do not hold their children accountable. In order to hold the child into account, we had to invoice their parents for his child's obligation to account,” she said.

The municipality continues to sit down with the increase in youth criminal and the need for accountability.
