Death of the 48-year-old man on May 10th, fatal shootout examined as a self-defense

A fatal shootout on May 10th in South Nashville is examined by the Nashville public prosecutor whether the shooter acted out of self -defense.

The victim, a 48-year-old man, whom the Metro Nashville police did not identify in a press release, allegedly asked at 1:50 a.m. against another man's door at 1:50 a.m., the 60-year-old James Green, to go to his door to go to his and the man ignored.

After the release, Green and the other man get into a fight, and Green finally shot him. Green told the detectives that he saw the man reaching for an object in his covenant.

Green is currently not being charged because of the shootout, which led to the death of the 48-year-old man shortly afterwards. Green called 911 before dealing with the man.
