1 man killed, another injured in the crash of Monroe County

Erie Township, Mi – a man was killed and another was injured in the early Friday morning in a crash of Monroe County.

The 27-year-old Tyler Avery Collins was expelled from a Honda CR-V after the car fell into a tree and, according to the Sheriff office of the Monroe County.

Collins of moderate and a 26-year-old man drove around 2:58 a.m. on May 9 on the Suder Avenue near the Lotus Drive in Erie Township to south when the car left the road while she walked around a curve.

Then it hit a power post, grabbed the pole and dropped power lines. The car hit a tree before landing on his roof. Collins was ejected from the vehicle.

Collins was brought to St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Toledo, where he was declared dead. The other man was brought to the same hospital with injuries, which was not assumed that they are life -threatening, the police said.

None of the men wore a seat belt. The police believe that speed and alcohol in the crash were factors.

The police didn't say who was going.

The Sheriff's office in Monroe County was supported by Crews from the Morin Point Fire Department and the Monroe Community ambulance on site.
