NBA playoffs: Celtics overwhelm Knicks with a dominant 22-point victory to get back into the East semi-final

Something had to give.

After two very unlikely 20-point comeback victories for the New York Knicks in Boston last week, the Celtics had no choice but to make a stand on Saturday in game 3 of the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference.

Once again Boston opened early and led up to 25 points in the first half. But this time the Celtics never subsided and thought for a 115-93 victory in a series that Knicks still lead 2-1.

The Celtics seemed to learn from their mistakes from the two previous games by concentrating and continuing to grind with a big lead. Of course, this was helped by a better shooting performance when Boston became 12 out of 19 to 3 and 20 for 40 for the game.
